We ran CanAm in 20-21 season but haven't run TransAm in several years. I would like to run Fly group 5 cars since last time we ran group 5 it was mostly Scaleauto Panteras. How about true vintage 1/24 realistic vac bodied cars. In other words, no thingies, wing cars or "handling bodies".

David I like those ideas but I don't think most ppl n the club have the 1/24 vac bodied cars--I don't. Oh wait--I have the Russkit Porsche 906. Tom

When the Poll is done, please make sure it has enough time to vote in it. When I go to a Lake, the phone service may not exist where I camp. Sometimes I can only text message, if even that. My Jet Ski does not have Wi-Fi, it doesn't even have lights, but it does have 250HP.

I see the Poll has been started, so this doesn't need to be posted

Since we ran the Group 5 class, Sideways has made many different cars. I think I have 15 of their cars, mostly different cars, except for my three Capris. They are some of my favorite cars, the Sideways Group 5 cars. All have the same motor, Slot.it Flat 6. The motor pod has been updated on the newer cars, so there is not the wheel hop that some of the first cars had on a wooden track. These cars could be run in a box stock plus class by using the Sideways and Scaleauto cars. (Steve I would let you use one of my cars if we ran this class)
The Scaleauto Panteras, Group 3, were in the Exotic class, not the Group 5 class, which we allowed 25k motors in that Exotic class.

The Poll has already started.

Poll closes on July 30 so that should be enough time. Tom

I think I have a "Sideways" Porsche 935 test car. Probably my only one of that brand; just not my style. Thanks Jim, for your offer, as you know I always enjoy driving for your team (hee-hee!)

Since I am new to both groups of 1/32 Slot Car racing, I am trying to get ahead on getting cars prepared and learning how to set up the cars. When will the vintage racing schedule be set to start?
Since the voting seems to be done at this point, are the three leading classes going to be set by the 3oth as posted?
Any chance the rules for each class can be set to be published by the same time?
In looking at the last schedule, it appeared that racing started in September which gives only August to set up cars and get ready.
Thanks Mark

Class rules will be determined after the poll closes. There is always the chance someone will change their vote so it won't be officially final until the 30th. Sometime in September will probably be the starting race--probably at Colpar. There should be about 6 weeks to get cars ready so that should be enough time. Tom

The class polls for 2022-2023 race season have been locked. The majority of votes were cast for Trans-AM 1966-1975, NSR Formula 86/89, and VINTAGE Strombecker 3-pin cars. (Am I interpreting the polls correctly?)

That is what I also see on my computer. I have sent my ideas to the other members of the Race Committee. I will be out of town for a week, so we have to wait for the results of their ideas also.

As most are aware my 4 lane Scalextric Track is up and running. We will have a few racers over this Saturday to confirm if any changes need to be made. I am looking at doing an Enduro race September 17th, and I believe we could have a group from the Vintage run as well.
But I have also got my knee replacement set and if the Vintage club wanted to do a Saturday or Sunday race at my track prior to October 12th, I would be open. Based on doing both knees, I would not be open until January 2023.
Not sure there has been a schedule put together for 2022/2023 race season.
