I was visiting with Doug last night and we talked about using a stock Monogram or K&B chassis under anything you want. So if you want to race a model that was never a slot car you could using a model body on the spec chassis. Steve and I have built several cars this way and it's fun. They run just like the slot car offerings but no limit to bodies that are used. I have a Triumph TR-4 and a Alfa Spider 2000 that I put on the series 1 Monogram chassis. I put a eldon 906 body on a K&B chassis and it is great etc.
Just an idea, David

I have a couple of Revell car bodies that I have running using Atlas power. You can come with a few different cars by using a different chassis for power. I like my open frame powered cars.

David, I remember a class that the club did many years ago now with that same idea, but all based on the EJ's repro Monogram brass frame.

I read through the string of posts again. I think I counted eight (8) suggestions for possible classes to race during the 2021-2022 season. Isn't that enough? Tom, how 'bout you create a poll and let's start voting.
Thanks, Doug L.

I found 16 different ideas for classes. Should I include all of them in the poll? Tom

I have reached out to Jim and Daryl to set rules and we will try to get that figured out soon.

I always have looked at the rules after the three classes have been determined. I wouldn't want to make up rules for 16 different classes and not be able to use them. It is hard enough to get people to agree on the rules for the three classes. The Vintage class is the easiest to do, just look back at previous years and adapt to fit the class.

What David was referring to was to slim down the choices and starting a poll. The Poll was already posted before David made his comment. Jim W
