The F1/Indy class was a good one and a lot of fun--plenty of cars to choose from. Vintage 1/24 formula cars (Cox, Revell, etc.) would be a cool class too--maybe even an IROC series with these. Tom

I think the Vintage pony car would be cool.

I missed the 2015/2016 Vintage F1/Indy class. I put pony cars down instead. I corrected my listing of classes.
Sorry David,

I suggested 1970-1974 Lemans. We have run earlier years.

Then a rule change limiting engines to 3.0 L, and Matra-Simca dominated from 1972-1974 (a big deal for French fans). In slot cars, Slot.it's Matra-Simca might be a tough car to beat. Interesting challenge.

I like the Ferrari 512's. We ran the 1960's LeMans and this would be a follow up from that class.

Fly Classics, Ninco Classics, Carrera Classics (Cobras, Ferrari 365s, Porsche 917s, Corvettes and Cheetahs) just to put a few more out there. Tom We have never run the Carrera "classic" cars and I think this would be a cool and different class to run as BS+. Most are still available and are not expensive. I don't think there are tires for the Cobra and 'Vette so maybe we could allow a rear end change as long as the inserts are period and correct. Just another idea. Tom

Jim W I like this suggestion but I'd offer up that if we end up going this direction that we should just allow Flys and SRCs only. The latter would allow the Matras in but with comparable performance to a Fly. There are a lot of cars from both of them that are from this era. All would benefit from a guide/braid change (IMHO) and the obligatory silicones on the back.

Mark makes a very good suggestion to keep performance of several models similar enough to enable a large competitive field.

Don’t forget about those 1/24 vintage cars.

Progressive Modified Muscle car This would be a class where the cars would be modified as the season progressed 1. First three races - box stock plus 2. Second three races - can change running gear (stock motor) 3. Last three races - can change motor and chassis (Plastic only-3D chassis OK) Vintage cars may start with a factory upgrade chassis (such as Revell, may use the series 2 chassis, to replace the "plastic drop arm" chassis)
All cars must have a stock appearing body
Cars - Pony cars, Mid size and Full size

Golly Guys,
I am just posting in the polls want everyone has asked for in the different classes. These ideas are not mine, other than one. It is called a poll, vote for what you may want and you don't need to criticize everyone else's choices. There are some classes that I don't want, but I don't let everyone know what they are. Some members asked us, the Race Committee, to just pick the classes. Maybe that is what I will suggest for the next time we try this again.
