There is s 3d printed motor adapter for Ninco cars--I have 3 or 4 of them. I'm pretty sure they will take a H&R 14K motor. Tom

I'll check Tim. The NC-1/8 would be good motors to use too. Tom

The 3d adapters for the NC/-1/8 or will work just fine for the H&R 14K motor. I got them from Shapeways. Tom

I'm petty sure that some of the Ninco's came with S-cans like my Jag 120 and maybe the Ferraris. What are all the cars that would be included in "Ninco classic"?

Ninco classics--Ferrari 250 TR, Porsche 356, Austin Healey 3000, Jaguar XK120, Ferrari 166MM, Jaguar XKE, Porsche 550 Spyder, 1957 Corvette, Cobra 427. I think that's all of them. Tom

Tom I was not very impressed with the NC8 motor, the H&R powered cars walked away from me. If all cars are required to run the NC8 or NC1 or would be ok, if not I would like to install the adapter and the H&R motor.

If we run this class there will be a spec motor but I like the 14K for this class. Tom

These are all good ideas and we are sure to get more but as to specifics, that won't be determined until we have the classes decided. We try to have a variety of levels of modification so guys who like to throw away all but the body and start over can and guys who like original cars can have a class to compete in also. As for true vintage, I suggest we try to find something new if possible, maybe size limited 1/24th. David 1/24 would be cool. I know Craig would be all over this class as well.

The Ninco "Classics" had two different motors types in their cars. The NC-1 motor is a FC-130 small can, which has a plastic end bell. This is like the Slot.it "orange" end bell motor. The NC-8 motor is a FK-130 motor. This type is does not have an end bell. The FK-130 is a short can motor with a soldered end cap on the motor. The FK-180 is the long can version of this style of motor. With the "Ninco adapter", you can put a put a NC-8 in a car that came with a long can motor, such as NC-2, NC-5, NC-6, NC-12 or a NC-14. The brush side of this motor series is smaller than a NC-1 motor or a H&R motor. You would have to cut out the motor mount holding fixture in the chassis. Once cut, you could not put an original motor back in this car's chassis.

I don't know what has been run before. I am partial to the cars of the Targa Florio and Mille Miglia. I suppose the Mille Miglia would mean Ninco and Carrera Classics. The Targa could include many other brands. For example Targa Florio 1967-72 (Porsche 908, 908/2, 908/3, Chevron B11, Alfa T33/3, Ferrari 512S, Fiat 124, Renault Alpine A110, Ford GT40, Ferrari 250LM, Ferrari 250 GTO Ferrari 312PB, Porsche 906, Porsche 911S, Porsche 911T, Lola T70). Fly, Sloter, Slot.it, Flyslot, Thunderrslot, NSR . . . Since so many brands, maybe unlimited class (or limit chassis to plastic - stock or 3D) Of course I would love vintage 1/24 (like K&B, Monogram, Russkit, Marx, Cox) but I realize that not all tracks handle the size and power of 1/24. Vanquish MG Can-Am? I am only a tag-along with Mark so am not voting just suggesting. Ninco motor adapter: cloverleafracing.com/index.php?view=all&cPath=3_146_370

I agree with Tom, we should have at least one true vintage class every season. I do like the under 2 liter class. Was thinkinng about the "classic" series. I like the choices that presents The vintage Chetahs.. lot of peerformance diff between brand e.g. Strombecker vs Cox--It would make a good vintage series, with scratch building with only vintage parts ( except tires, and a few other expendibles. When i put the H&R 14k in my ninco porsche, it just required a bit of grinding, it was not hard, but it would have been easy to ruin the chassis. i would think the Ninco 1 (??) would be appropriate sub for the H&R. A season kind of needs an open wheel class,, could use some help on this, perhaps add 10 or 15 years to the class we are running now.

So, discussed thus far (less vintage) are: 1. 50s Cartrix F1 (BSP) 2. T/A U2 (unlimited but with 18K motor limit and no fat fendered cars such as the Fly 911, Alfa GTa) 3. Ninco Classics (motor TBD) and no Cobras
4. Fly Classics (tires and guide swap?)
5. Thunderslots (BSP)
Did I miss anything?

As for true vintage, I have been trying to come up with something fresh but not having a lot of success. Since true vintage only lasted about 10 years but didn't get good until about half way through around 64-65 we don't have a lot to choose from. I was surprised to find out we ran F1/Indy cars 6-7 years ago. Time flies when you're having fun. I think we could run them again or size limited 1/24 scale hard body cars. Another idea mentioned at Daryl's was one that would include Jim's Pontiac GTO so we could think about true vintage "stock cars" excluding ponies. Lots of options and I think lots of fun.
