Choose 3 classes-at least one true vintage class. Sorry-I have GP 5 on there twice. Tom

Point of clarification with regard to the "Group 5" class. Are we voting on Gen 1 (1966-69), Gen 2 (1970-71), Gen 3 (1972-75) or Gen 4 (1976-82)? Gen 1 cars could be fun: Abarth 1000 TC, Alfa Romeo 1600 GTA, BMW 2002, Ford Escort Twin Cam, Mercedes Benz 300SEL, Porsche 911, Mini Cooper S. Gen 4 cars could be fun: Porsche 935, BMW M1, BMW 320 Turbo, BMW 3.5 CSL, Lancia Stratos Turbo, Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo, Ferrari 512 BB LM, Zakspeed Ford Capri Turbo, Zakspeed Ford Escort, Zakspeed Lotus Europa, Greenwood Corvette, Aston Martin RHAM/1.

I'm with Chris. Gen 4 would be a blast! Gen 4 would include the Toyota Celica and Nissan Skyline also?

Gen 4 would include the Toyota Celica and Nissan Skyline also? Correct. Celica and Skyline would qualify. Doug L.

Houston we have a problem. There have been 8 voters and only 6 cast in the True vintage category. Each voter should have cast a vote for one of the 3 true vintage options. Go back and check to make sure you have cast a vote for one of the 3 true vintage classes.

Looks like our three classes for 2023-24 racing season have been determined.
Lock ‘er up, Tom.

Time to come up with rules so we can get started with our cars. Hopefully the committee will keep the motor limit to 14k in the rolly Polly class and 21/23k in the nascar class. Just my 2 cents.

Another point of clarification: will the 1960s NASCAR class be 1960 to 1969? If so, only the Dodge Charger Daytona would be eligible as a "wing" car. (The Plymouth Superbird did not arrive until the 1970 season.) Or could the rules committee stretch the 1960s NASCAR class to include the 1970 Superbird? Or the 1970 Roadrunner?

They may even have look at the 1957 Carrera Chevrolet as a good car to use. The 1960 Carrera Plymouth, I think, used the same design chassis. The Plymouth is way under scale size. It sets low to the ground and even looks lower since the body is a 1/4 inch too narrow. The 1960 Plymouth was a lot bigger car than the Carrera slot car is. When we ran this class before, we included the 1970's cars as well. Since they don't make any slimline motors that are 14k, the rules would have to be made for current motors in the Rolly Polly class.
