Anybody have any thoughts on the basic body?

I think it looks pretty good--can't wait to see it with livery on it. Tom

again, same problem with the images. My understanding of the model is it will have a front mounted inline motor with shaft, to allow for an interior. Reminds me of the old MRRC Cobra from some years ago, which, outside of it's crappy pinion, was a nice model. Hope they use a brass one, though I doubt it. I think the vibrations that this kind of setup introduce to the drivetrain promote the splitting of plastic pinions.

thanks Tom. I think I've mentioned before, that at least in this scale, the only other FIA 289 done was the vintage Scalextric way back in the day (wonder if the design crew had one for reference?). Looks like maybe they will have a hardtop option? Hope they get a matching exhaust pipe over on the right side; again this is pre-production. An odd "tab" under the nose; wonder if that's just flash from the two brake scoops that were on this car, which the underside seems to show. What I like best is the Cobra logo molded in to the bottom!

This pic doesn't show the spoiler so I don't know what that is about. Tom
