Do the photos above mean you now have three (3) tracks in your basement?

Sorry Doug,
I will have to take down a track to put up the routed track. I will be taken down the 4 lane track and will be using the tables from it. That way I don't have to carry 6 tables up/down the stairs. I am waiting on some parts and tools before I do anything more. I will have to route some of the track to add the braid. The track will have braid instead of the more common, copper tape. That way Daryl's open frame motor car can run around the track without any power problems.

I made the trip into town and have now quit lifting heavy pieces of "wood". I have wired and now need to level the track in a few places. Old and new are not the same. I will be grinding the track to fit now. I have braided one lane to see how it will work. Power is good. It amazes me how the Vintage cars run much better now. Both 1/32 and 1/24 cars run great. My fastest car now is a Modern Ninco Ford GT. It is faster than Thunderslot cars. Only a couple of my Modern NSR cars can keep up with it. It is strange how some cars that just ran OK, now run great. I also have some cars that will need to be "tuned" for this track. They wheel hop real bad, enough to deslot.
Jim W
By the way, there are not any power taps in the track now, just the braid.

There is not always room to pass. Too bad that cars don't have the "chrome bumper" anymore!!

Thanks Doug,
As you can see, we have been putting some laps on the track. I have hosted a couple "Enduro" races for the RMSCC. We ran one with the Slot.it Group C cars, with lights, that was 4 hours of racing. Two hours of darkness. I ran my quickest in the dark. I guess, when I fall asleep "at the wheel", I do my best driving. The paint on the track really shows the tire tracks. When I received my first track, it was painted with the same paint. I thought the track was really dirty and gave it a good scrub. Within 20 laps, the tire tracks were back. The paint does allow me to run different tires, such as rubber, silicone and urethane, and still have good traction with each.

I have ran my 63 Ford Galaxie, my Avatar, on the track. It is one of my quickest cars. Just don't get near it in the squeeze. The car may be a little "tail happy" as it swings around the corner.

Patrick,
Yes, it is a track that has been raced on by RMSCC. I have hosted multiple races for both clubs. In the Vintage club, I have already hosted my race for our 2023/2024 race schedule. I will usually use the three-lane wooden track for the racing when we are here. I like to tell Doug that we are going to use my other track, the 2-lane Carrera track, because it can be a challenge to drive that track. I think I am scheduled to host the RMSCC on Wed March 20th.
