Then, what would the true vintage class be?? Or will we even have one next season? Tom

Or will we even have a Vintage class next season? Tom I am hearing from the race committee that currently there are no plans for a Vintage class next season. (That should make Mark G happy.) Doug L.

The I'm guessing most everyone will run Slot.it or NSR GT40s in the Lemans class.

that would make the club no longer a "vintage slotcar club". You would want to re-write the purpose statement, change the name, and revise all the rules. S

Very good point Steve. I agree, this is a VINTAGE slot car club, there has to be a true vintage class--there always has been.

I would think the Ford vs Ferrari would be the Vintage class. I would suggest using no can motors. Using open frame or K&B/Aurora motors only. This would allow Atlas, Strombecker and Revell/Pittman motors for open frame motors. I guess the MRRC open frame motor also.
Jim W
Hint Hint - Atlas made an adapter to use their motors and chassis in Revell and Monogram bodies. It is a simple brass bracket that goes around the axle bushings and goes to the rear body mount. They made two, one for the 208 motor and one for the 206 motor. Reason is 3/16 axle bushings and 1/4 axle bushings. The mount has two set of body mount holes, one for Revell and one for Monogram.

I would think this club is still a Vintage club. We do not run any Modern cars. All cars must be 30 years or older.

We should probably decide on classes and rules so everyone can get their cars ready for the season. There are only about 8 weeks before Sept. gets here. Tom

Can we include Ford or Ferrari powered cars to expand the selection of cars in the True vintage Class? Or is this going to be base solely on the body?
