Hello Tim,
Our question concerned your choice of tire compound. Many of our first-time Quick Slicks tire customers order the "Soft" compound assuming they will be "grippier" than the "Firm" or "Extra Firm" compound. In general, this is not the case. If you're racing in a series where the Soft compound has been spec'd, no problem. Or if you are looking for a silicone tire that is relatively easy to sand and profile, the Soft is the way to go. If you're looking for the best possible grip/performance, we would recommend the Firm (1st choice) or X-Firm compound (2nd choice).
Thank you.
Regards,
Bob / Steve

I tried Quick Slicks on a few of my cars.I have tried the soft and the extra firm tires. The extra firm is very close to the Super Tires tire. On my track the xf tire was "equal" to a Super tire. The soft was a little slower on my track, about 2 tenths. I did not try the firm tire because it was not made yet. I have read that the soft tire would be the best to use on a Ninco track.

Steve also called and he asked what type of track we run on, I told him majority plastic and few wood. More than likely not putting a higher rev motor just running naked, He recommended the firm. Well i guess ill have to see on this one, just might have to put them in the microwave for experiment QS1.

Update!! So i tried the ts43f and the ts44f. I have found the 43 are to small of a diameter and could potentially cause racing regulation ride height violation and also if track is slightly dented or raised you will get wheel spin.
Good luck and i'll see you at the races.
