Class rules for our 2017 - 2018 racing season are as follows . . .
True Vintage “Prototype"
1. This class will be for all cars that were raced in prototype classes. No production based cars are allowed.
2. Cars will be limited to an overall width of 2.5 inches.
3. Maximum tire width will be 3/8" (0.375 inches).
4. Racers must use a vintage motor. The vintage motor may be a factory upgraded motor. No rewinds allowed.
5. Chassis may be factory or home-built. (Racers may use EJs repro chassis.)
6. Bodies may be hard body or vacuum-formed plastic.
7. A few modern parts will be allowed for consumable items; gears, braids, tires, guide shoe (must be VERY close in dimension to original shoe. No commercial or 1/24 scale shoes).
8. Retro wheels, such as EJs, will be allowed.
9. Modern wheel inserts will be allowed if they conform to period wheels.

Suggested examples: Chaparrals, Cheetah, Cooper Cobra, Ferrari 250LM, 275P, 330P/LM, 365P2, P4, Ford GT, Lola T70 Mk3, Lotus 30, McKee, Porsche 906, 907.
Box Stock Plus “1965 - 1969 Formula One”
1. The model you choose to compete with must have raced in the series between 1965 and 1969.
2. Cars may be modern production or vintage.
3. Stock body, chassis, motor, pickup guide required.
4. After-market tires may be used.
5. All racers will remove magnet(s) from stock chassis.
6. Weights may be added at racer’s discretion.
7. Manufacturing defects may be rectified (such as); warped chassis, wheel/tire truing, pickup shoe binding.
8. Vintage cars may use modern parts for consumable items' gears, braids, tires, pickup guides.
All other general rules will apply.
Suggested examples: Brabham BT26, Eagle-Westlake T1G, Ferrari 158, Lotus 33, Lotus 49, McLaren M7C.
Unlimited Class “Exotics”
1. Years 1970 through 1979.
2. Modern electric motors will be limited to a maximum of 25,000 RPMs. (Racers may chose a vintage motor for power, as well.)
3. Maximum tire width will be 1/2” (0.500 inch)
4. Vacuum bodies will be allowed.
5. Stock body required (i.e., Group 3). No competition bodies (i.e., Group 5) are allowed. See digital photos below, for comparison.
All other general rules will apply.
Suggested examples: BMW M1, De Tomaso Pantera, Ferrari Daytona, Ferrari 308, Ferrri Boxer512, Lamborghini Countach, Lambo Miura, Lancia Stratos, Lotus Espirit, Maserati Bora, Porsche 928.
