i think the 2 seat passenger (v8 4, 6 v12 or whatever) would be a better class for us at this time, but it would might be a good thing for people to be thinking about building the small/mini for next year, or we can always have some exhibition races for anyone who had built one. My Elite is certainly a ways from being built. That being said, let's start a list of qualifying cars, (those availble as slot cars already)

Yep, sorry--the V8 class is any configuration, not just front engined.

Even though the V8 class was my idea, I'd be happy to go with either one, though I too believe the V8s would be eiser and more accessable. You guys know about my habit of building outside the box though, and the 1/43rds sound like a cool challenge, not to mention that I have loads of as yet unbuilt static model candidates. I suggest we take a time limited run-off, wherein all those who have voted so far choose between the 1/43rds and the P28s. Tom, I know it's a pain to set these things up, but it'd be fair. After all, that's how they do it in thirld world countr...

Guys,
Concerning the two passenger V8 class, I feel the Ford GT 40 should be allowed to run. After all, there were production road going machines available to the car buying public. What do you think, board?

If memory serves well, I think there were a total of 3 Mark III's built (the "road" car); definitely not a production vehicle by any definition.

OK guys. I was just trying to expand the choices. If what has been decided is all that will be allowed, I think it's only fair to publish a list of the "allowed" cars which are available for purchase as slot cars. I would also like to know just whose standard definition of "production" it is to which we must adapt. Exactly how many cars must have been "produced"? My own definition is that if a car was produced, and road going versions, in any number at all, were made, then it should be allowed. Really, just tell me what's wrong with that. I also fail to see why my concept of a class of racing which I myself developed counts for zip. Thank you.

Bill - please see the Word document "Revised 2010 - 2011 Class Rules" found under "General, Race Classes, 2010-2011 Race Classes & Rules," posted on Sept 12th. There you will see a representative list of cars that are eligible to race in each class. Doug L.
