Dave - your rebuild looks impressive to me. I love the colored slots. Doug L. Thanks Doug. "The devil is in the details". I am currently changing the yellow middle lane to white... Going with more of a "French theme" of red, white and blue. My initial thought when i first built the track was to make a yellow lane to go with my yellow Slot.it controller. I am also replacing all of the copper tape due to the fact that there would have been too many "breaks" to repair. I was considering braid but decided otherwise due to trying to keep costs down with this build. The bank degree angles have also increased by several degrees. All of the original screw holes were reused and "Rock Hard" putty filler applied and sanded smooth and painted. The large bank 180 turn in the middle had to be rebuilt due to the fact that when i took the track down i had to cut it right in the middle of the turn, I learned my lesson and rebuilt it and placed that section on a separate piece of plywood that can be un-bolted and lifted out of position.

Aren't you glad you are retired? The "French theme" as far as coloring the slots makes sense on a Le Mans tribute track. I hope it all goes together the way you envision it.

There will be a "rubbering in" session on March 27th Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 PM. No silicon's or urethane's. The house "Slot.it" controllers are the only approved controllers to be used.
