Love the classes except Eldon. WHY!!! Probably one of the worst vintage cars made.

The Muscle cars that I had wanted was a Vintage class of cars. I have an Aurora Pontiac GTO that is a street car, no numbers. I have Revell Camaro, Revell Firebird, Revell AMX, Revell 68/69 Corvette and a Revell Mustang. I know they also made a Mercury Cougar. I also would have an Aurora Mustang as well as an AMT Mustang. David A has an Aurora Barracuda and a Corvair. Strombecker did make a Barracuda also. I think David A may also have a Javelin. Then there is putting a hard body on the Vintage chassis. I found a 68/69 Chevrolet Nova model that would also fit in the class of Vintage Muscle cars.
Of course, I know the Eldon cars would also be included with their Dodge Charger, Dodge Coronet, 62 Chevrolet Impala, 62 Plymouth, etc, but I don't know about the Dodge pickup. They did offer the Dodge pickup with the 426 raised block as an option. Our local gas station owner had one, he would get better gas mileage with it than his friend did with his 6-cylinder pickup. Both had campers on the back and pulled their fishing boats.

It is the true vintage class so not Trans Am like we ran recently. The closest we came was the TV pony car class a few year ago.

Yes a metal or plastic vintage chassis either factory or scratch built, in the vintage style, with all vintage running gear is what the formula is and has been for all of the true vintage cars up to now.

Hi Guys,
I enjoyed running some fast laps with you guys at final race of the season on May 11th at Dave A's.
Your great spirit made it a good race. It was worth the 156 mile drive to get there and back. I am seriously planning to attend more races in the 2024-25 season.
When Dave called to encouraged me to attend, he also asked me to look over the polling for the cars being considered for next seasons racing series.
OK, so I clicked on the 3 categories that I would enjoy running, mainly because I have those cars in my collection and they were already shown as some of the popular choices by other racers.
I've spent countless hours restoring my vintage Revell, Monogram, Strombecker, Eldon, K&B, Atlas collection and they don't run any better than they did 60 years ago.
I'm probably not alone in enjoying Thunderslot, Slot.it, and Pioneer brands for their 'out of the box' go fast qualities. It's great racing too.
I have to admit that I'll enjoy race anything that you guys settle on.

Since there is a lack of good vintage silicone rear tires for the 1/32 cars. Can we find a way to use current tires of the appropriate size? On the chassis, I would assume a Revell, Strombecker ...... metal 1 /32 chassis to fit the appropriate body would work along with a period correct brass chassis or newly fabricated one. Thanks Mark |

The Super Tires V-100 is a silicone tire that will fit the wide wheel of the Vintage 1/32 cars. It will need to be fitted to the wheel. I use my fingernail to get it to seat in the bead of a wheel. This is one of the few tires that are not made for wheels with a center raised rib. It is for a double flange wheel. (I normally will not use them on an open wheel car because of the lack of sidewall detail.)
I have used EJ's "rubber" tires with good results on the same wheels. I have also used BACA urethane tires with good results.
